on Teacher Planning Days

Spend a fun-filled, activity-packed day at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida on Teacher Planning Days. Programs are unique and encourage children to think, imagine, create and have fun!

 

	Children ages 6-12
	9 am to 5 pm (early drop-off 8:30 am and late pick-up 5:30 pm)

Discovery Days cost $30 for HMSF members and $35 for non-members.
Receive a 10% discount when you sign up for all six Discovery Days.

Old Time Rock 'n' Roll

Dance to the rhythm of the Pionerr and the Seminole. Create your own dance as we all sing the songs, linking the past to the present.

Poetry in Motion

Explore the improvisational techniques and writing styles of poetry. Learn how rhyme and descriptive writing can bring the past to life.

Wind Chill

Uncover the truth about hurricanes, thunderstorms and even blizzards, as we discuss the true power of Mother Nature..

Magic City

Design a city, downtown and all. Create its history, mold a look and describe a feel for it. Unveil your city and bring it to life through maps, writings and models.
